Be Scrappy! Using Fear to Drive Growth
Fear can be a good thing or a bad thing. Fear in business can make us freeze up, make haphazard decisions, or fear, when used positively and productively, can take your business strategy to the next level.
Understanding that change, conflict, problems, and disruption occur, often times without warning. In fact, people fear change, conflict, problems, and disruption. I say, why not embrace the inevitable? Realizing that change, conflict, problems, and disruptions can arise at any moment – under any circumstance – at any place, why not shift the way we look and how we choose to react or respond to these conditions and/or events?
Why not simply expect and embrace these pesky occurrences with a renewed mind and spirit?
The Healthy Fear that Drives Growth
Jessica Herrin, founder and CEO of Stella + Dot, recommends a scrappy, entrepreneurial approach to budgeting — for business of all sizes.
At the beginning and at the end of the day, why not be scrappy about your business approach? I encourage you to take fear by horns and allow what frightens you to make you stronger/better – to adopt and take action from a positive, admirable, and powerful entrepreneurial perspective. The best news: The ultimate choice is totally up to you! Consider that under most business conditions, losers “let” it happen, while winners “make” it happen!
Be smart and be encouraged,
